in order to do IMa2 or migrate formatting, i have to be able to query populations, not just a list of individuals. duh! i'm switching gears and focusing on writing to the terminal all the loci that contain any individuals from a given subset of populations, regardless of individual membership. from there i can create the input list of files for the converters and work on those scripts next (with proper input!). i'm a little surprised i'm just putting this together now but excited to have a plan of action. i knew i couldn't really be ahead of schedule!
